OBITUARY

David A. Cramer, 78

Passed away at his home early in the morning of March 1. Dave was the beloved husband of Susan Stodolsky. Loving father of Daniel (Catherine), Matthew, and Jesse (Kristina) Cramer. Loving stepfather of Daniel (Jenny) Stodolsky and Amalia (Adam) Haas. Proud Zayde of Amital, Elchanan, Ilan, Netta, Aviva and Avraham Haas, and Miriam and Dora Stodolsky. A lifelong Chicagoan, Dave loved the city (especially its restaurants, lakefront, arts and culture) and was an eternal optimist and the ultimate fan when it came to his hapless but always entertaining Chicago Cubs. He had an abounding love for the written word, an insatiable appetite for digesting news, and a passion for political debate. His fierce intellect, keen sense of humor, and deep appreciation for life will be missed by all who knew him. Funeral service, Wednesday, 11:00 a.m. at KAM Isaiah Israel Congregation, 1100 E. Hyde Park Blvd., Chicago. Interment, Zion Gardens Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Parkinson's Foundation or the Children's Defense Fund. Arrangements by Chicago Jewish Funerals-Skokie Chapel, 847.229.8822, www.cjfinfo.com

My deepest and heartfelt condolences to the Cramer family. I never had the opportunity to meet Mr. Cramer, but feel like I did in hearing Dan tell stories about him. I know your Dad must've been so proud of you, Dan. My thoughts are with you and yours during this difficult time.
