Harry A. Wayne, 97
Beloved husband of Elaine. Loving father of Corinne (Willie) Engelhart, Marlene (Dr. Laren) Garfield, Martin (Ann) Wayne and Miriam (Mark) Bromberg. Cherished grandfather of Coby (Aliza), Shira (Daniel), Rabbi Avi (Aviva), Jennifer (Jared), Jared, Merrick, Marissa, Maxx, Mitchell, Joseph and Lena. Great grandfather of Micah, Leora, Shelhevet, Yehuda, Haddasah, Nessa and Dahlia. Devoted son of the late Max and Mary Weinberg. Dear brother of Edith (the late Norman) Okun and the late Jack (the late Florence) Wayne. He was a graduate Electrical Engineer, an inventor, and a holder of 25 patents. He was successful in both his professional and business lives as founder and owner of Wayne Engineering. His proudest achievement was his family. Service Sunday, 2:00 pm at Chicago Jewish Funerals, 8851 Skokie Blvd., (at Niles Center Road) Skokie. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. On behalf of all of Harry's friends at Bernell, we are deeply saddened to learn of his passing. He was a tremendous engineer and man, whose ideas and contributions to behavioral optometry continue to impact the lives of patients around the world. We appreciate the opportunity we had to work with Harry and Elaine over the years. Our deepest sympathies go out to the family.
