I am sad to say that I did not know Rhonda very well. But everything I knew about her was that she was a very kind, generous, intelligent and thoughtful woman.
I remember that Jason's wife Jillian's niece Anya was visiting Rhonda once when I was there. Anya was very little, and was in awe of Rhonda's beautiful home, and especially her bead collections.
Rhonda was so patient with Anya, letting her open drawer after drawer of her gorgeous beads. Rhonda instructed Anya to pick out her favorites, and let her take them home.
And of course, I would be remiss in failing to mention Rhonda's incredible generosity with her book collections.
Every time we saw Jason and Jillian, they had box loads of books for this bibliophile family to gobble down.
I have a few left that I have not yet read, and will think of Rhonda while I read them.
My heart goes out to all of you, and I hope that you are successful in remembering all the wonderful occasions that Rhonda bedazzled, and forgetting any pain and suffering that you witnessed.

Dear Rob, Jason, Jenna, Barry and Jeff. I just read the news about Rhonda and our entire family is profoundly saddened by her death. We were childhood friends (from 4th grade) and parted ways after a decade. We reconnected via facebook a year or so ago, but I did not keep up the communication line -- something that I certainly regret now. Our entire family has so many wonderful and endearing memories. Rhonda had a beautiful family and our heartfelt sympathy is with you all. Rhonda, rest in peace. You will forever be in our hearts. Love you, Curtis and Doris Padgett, Ron and Eva Padgett, Curtis Padgett, and Cathy Padgett. xoxo
