Elaine Adelson, 96, Flossmoor, Ilinois, passed away June 16, 2016. Elaine loved family, flowers, art, friends, music, jewelry, reading, and her beloved dogs. She delighted in her exquisite paperweight collection. Her home was the center of family gatherings. Elaine enjoyed activities ranging from table games to museum exhibitions with her children and grandchildren. She was a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan. "Something Different" was a successful antique jewelry store she owned and operated for many years. Elaine made countless charitable contributions and volunteered at The Village Door, a store benefiting cancer patients. She was beloved wife of the late Paul, loving mother of Judy Jacobi, Laurie (Arthur Tracht) Adelson, and the late Wendy Adelson. Proud grandmother of Tobi Jacobi (Ed Lessor), Rob (Sarah) Jacobi, Noah Tracht (Kayleigh Miller), Tara Blackman, Dakota Tracht. Adored Great-grandmother of Maya Lessor, John Lessor, Gabriella Lessor, Samuel Lessor, Joshua Jacobi, Juliette Jacobi, Mercer Tracht. Memorial service 1:30 p.m., Thursday, June 23, 2016 at Temple Anshe Sholom, 20820 South Western Avenue, Olympia Fields.
