I am deeply saddened to hear about your wonderful, generous wife, mother and grandmother. We were so very fortunate to have her as an Advisory Board member. Her knowledge, wisdom and assistance to students and colleagues is eternal and immeasurable. Because of her teachings, a wider part of the education world is a much richer place.

May her legacy be a comfort to you all.

Janet has played a pivot role in my professional and personal life. As professor in my graduate seminar, she motivated me to become involved in PLD , an organization in which she played a major role until the last months. Although it has been many, many years since the seminar, she remembers me by name and every detail she knew about my life. Meeting coincidentally many years later at a luncheon, she invited me to join her at her table where she led a spirited discussion about her concern for individuals with learning disabilities and the future of the field, until our husbands literally pulled us apart as the clean-up crew was leaving!
