OBITUARY

Howard M. Hoffmann, 72

Beloved husband of Evelyn nee Heins. Loving father of Michelle (Jay) Hoffmann- Jingst and Robert (Genevieve) Hoffmann. Proud and doting Opa of Porter, Hayden, Asher and Brennan. Devoted son of the late Rosi and the late Manfred Hoffmann. An accomplished and respected trial attorney, Howard began his career as an Assistant United States Attorney, advancing to become the chief of the Criminal Division and Deputy United States Attorney. Later, Howard went into private practice culminating with an appearance before the Unites States Supreme Court. He was proud to be part of the Jewish community and assumed leadership positions. His greatest joy, however, was his family, especially his four grandsons. Service Monday 10AM at Chicago Jewish Funerals, 8851 Skokie Blvd., (at Niles Center Road), Skokie. Interment New Light. Memorials to The University of Chicago Medicine Comprehensive Cancer Center, 5841 S Maryland Ave, Chicago, IL 60637, donation.uccrc.org/donations/ would be appreciated.
