I had the good fortune to work both with and for Jim at Amoco. He was an extremely bright guy and a real pleasure to be around. I always admired his egalitarian attitude - forever kind and courteous to everyone - and his low-key, collegial management style. I was lucky to have him as a friend, co-worker and boss. He was a man of his word and it was always reassuring to hear him speak on IT topics because you were just sure that he knew what he was talking about. I am glad that I knew him.

I got to know Jim through the American Technion Society the last few years. Jim was a highly intelligent, thoughtful individual and a pleasure to be around. He had a great disposition, and a profound decency in the way he related to people you don't often see these days. We are very sorry for this news and extend our deepest condolences to Lisa and the rest of his terrific family.

I met Jim when he joined Amoco's BAPS class, after he graduated from Indiana University (IU). Jim and Lisa and Bernie (my husband -- and IU grad) and I often attended the IU/Northwestern basketball games in Evanston. Jim and I continued our friendship and work relationship throughout our domestic and international (London) assignments. Jim... R.I.P., you were a great person, and you will be missed.

Jim was a genuine gentleman, a brilliant manager, and. very much a people person. Although I didn't see Jim these past 25 years, I still remember the character and integrity associated with our business interactions of long ago.ð??ºð??¸ð??ºð??¸ð??ºð??¸

This breaks my heart. Jim was my best manager and the most genuine person I ever worked for. He gave me the awesome opportunity to live in Calgary and he and Lisa opened their home to me as I was considering opportunities in Chicago. He genuinely cared for people, and as a result, he has a lasting impact on every heart he touched. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten. Rest in pease Jim, and thank you for being you!

While it has been too long since I last saw Jim - his spirit was never far from anyone who had the fortune to know him and work with him. Jim never failed to lend a hand or lift someone up. His caring was matched by his dedication to doing what was right. He will be missed, but he isn't gone by all the good he did for so many.

Having worked with and for Jim for over thirty years it is with great sadness that we reflect on a wonderful person whose life was cut way too short. Jim and I shared the hobby of auto mechanics and working on cars. He also was instrumental in getting me to volunteer for good charitable causes. Pat & I will miss the pizza dinners with Jim & Lisa and his wonderful insight into technology. Jim's kindness and respect for people clearly showed God's love through him.

Jim was the smartest person I have ever met. He had a wonderful career. The things I fondly remember are attending the IU versus Northwestern basketball games in January. Playing raquetball with him, and almost always getting beat. Recruiting with him at IU and enduring eating Noble Romans pizza. RIP Jim. You will always be remembbered.

Jim was truly one of a kind. We have lost a great man and humanitarian. I am so glad I had the pleasure of working for him. You will be missed but never forgotten. Your star will forever shine.

I was very fortunate to have known Jim but very lucky at one time to have been in his group. He was a good man and a great manager! He had so many good qualities that itâ??s hard to start naming them without going on and on but his warmth, humor, and intelligence must be mentioned. He touched and impressed all who knew him and we all feel his loss.
