Funeral Details

I am in Israel with my family for Passover and am unable to attend the funeral or shiva. I wanted to pass condolences along to you. Jeff was a fine person who I always enjoyed speaking to. I am very sorry for your loss--a loss shared by our community. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help you. May G-d comfort your you among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.

Jeff was one of the most amazing people I knew--and whom I had the great honor of knowing. He was the gem in the crown of the Jewish universe. Kind and religiously observant yet practical and down-to-earth, he was a talk-show host supreme, and I was grateful that he gave me the opportunity to be his producer on The New Jewish Wake-Up Call (WSBC Radio; AM 1240) from early 2004-late 2005. We remained good friends ever since. I learned so much about Judaism from him as well as about life in general. His sharp, raucous sense of humor defined him but didn't delimit him. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. My condolences to his friends and family.
