OBITUARY
Judith (Judy) (nee Kerman) Shore, age 95, passed away on May 24, 2017. She was the beloved wife of the late Lloyd Shore for 69 years and the dear mother of Sandra (Kevin) Moore, Richard (Suzanne) Shore, Max (Michiyo) Shore; cherished grandmother of David (Alison), Matthew (Jacqui), Molly, Joe (Elizabeth), Mark, Adrien, great-grandmother of Benjamin; fond aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Max and Fannie Kerman, her brothers Willard (Bubbles) Kerman, Eugene Kerman, and sister Maxine (Ben) Ehrenberg. She was born in Chicago on November 27, 1921 and graduated from Parker High School. In 1942, while working as a secretary for Chemical Warfare Procurement, she met Lloyd, who was a handsome 2nd lieutenant. In addition to being a homemaker she was an active citizen, very involved with the League of Women Voters and issues such as fair housing. She and Lloyd served as Co-Chairs of the Nuclear Freeze Campaign. Together they enjoyed many friends and interests such as golf, bridge, symphony, theater and travel. She was a wonderful cook, well-regarded among family and friends for hosting dinner gatherings. Her character was positive, warm and fair-minded. She always felt great appreciation for all her blessings and in recent years, when health issues were dominant, for life itself. She had a good sense of humor and will be greatly missed. Service Friday 10AM at Chicago Jewish Funerals, 8851 Skokie Blvd (at Niles Center Road), Skokie. Interment at Zion Gardens.
