Rabbi Barry was my spiritual leader and friend for a couple of years in the early 90s during his years in Los Angeles and was Rabbi at Ahavat Zion. Also, was a great influence in my life in my early days of walking with the Messiah. He will be greatly missed.

Barry was one of those rare human beings who is very real and present. He not only heard, but he listened--and he cared. And it was his humanity that disarmed much of my hostility. I thank God for Barry as a friend and rabbi--and as a mensch. I am grateful I had the privilege of knowing him for a time. May the Lord bless and keep Dyann, Hadassah, Chyah, and Aaron, and all who loved him in His Shalom...

Barry. Loving friend, teacher, and spiritual brother. Brilliant, insightful, funny, and deeply compassionate. You leave a hole in the world with your passing.

Words cannot express what a privilege it was to sit under Rabbi's teaching for six years at the school of ministry in Whitewater WI working on my masters and doctoral degrees. What a gift he was in unlocking the jewels in Scripture. He will be greatly missed.

Barry was the best teacher I ever had, very anointed, and Dyann I always considered precious to me as well. The children were always around and added so much to my life and my son Erik. We spent some fun times together. I feel Barry left a true legacy of love and touched the lives of my son and I for sure and countless others. My love prayers and heartfelt condolences to the family. My heart aches for the loss, but knowing one day we all will be together again having an ONEG in heaven, seems to ease the pain some. Dyann I love you and I am here for you, and your family. Love Joyce and Erik Lest <3

Barry was the first Jewish believer I ever met the night I accepted the L-rd into my heart. That was a long time agoâ?¦42 years, to be exact. I will never forget his infectious smile and twinkling eyes. My heart is heavy with sadness for Dyann, Hadassah, Chyah and Aaron. May the G-d of all comfort sustain you during this time. May you be comforted knowing that his was a life well lived.
