Funeral Details

Estelle Zlatkoff Freedman Plancey, age 93, of Atlanta, died September 18, 2014. Born in Chicago to Russian immigrant parents, Estelle was known in her youth for her beauty; often winning local beauty pageants. She married Paul Freedman in 1941 and as a homemaker raised 4 children in Chicago. She retired to West Palm Beach, Florida in 1981 where she remained after Paul's death in 1984 until she moved to Atlanta in 2004 to be closer to her children. Survivors include her daughter Doris Alpern, Sarasota, FL; son and daughter-in law Ernest and Ardis Freedman, Bradenton, FL; daughter and son-in-law, Ellen and Steve Kedme, Atlanta; son and daughter-in-law, Joel and Donna Freedman, Atlanta; grandchildren: Richard Alpern and Marjorie Alpern Bianchi of IL;, Michael Freedman of MD; Michael and Daniel Kedme of GA; Paula and Dara Freedman of Chicago; and Adam Freedman of Atlanta; and 8 great grandchildren.
